"Angela and I crossed paths at a coffee shop in 2017. We talked for several hours and she left such a strong impression on me with her openness and positivity that I decided to reach out to her a year later when I had fallen in a rut in life.
Angela taught me many things. I learned that food has a huge impact on mood, energy, attentiveness, even our ability to feel happy. She showed me that our body is made of chemicals and paying attention to what we eat is the best way to control that. Even more importantly focusing on food and diet trained me to respect myself and treat myself with compassion.Feeding my body what I needed to be healthy allowed me to focus on myself in a way that felt productive, not self indulgent.
However, Angela emphasizes that she is a coach, not a teacher. She is endlessly positive and encouraging. In a way this is even more important than her extensive knowledge about health and nutrition. Angela's background as a ballerina and her story of dealing with injury help her relate to many types of people. To those who care about fitness she can relate because she worked as what is essentially a professional athlete for years. For those who struggle with loss, Angela can relate because an injury ended her dancing career. She drew upon her experience in dance to encourage me to treat myself with compassion. I had struggled for a long time with being overly self-critical. No matter what you are going through, Angela is able to relate and offer up-building energy.
My initial goals when I started this program were:
-confidently feed myself healthy food
-live an overall more balanced life
I accomplished and surpassed all of these goals while working with Angela. I am most surprised by how much fun I have making healthy food now. It's become an enjoyable way of life for me.
Angela is genuine and loves what she does. That will be apparent on the first session with anyone who does this program. I highly recommend working with her to people of any age and situation."
"Angela helped me think about the ‘bigger picture’ – where there were other areas not meeting my needs and how food then became a way to express that. She was able to bring in these other areas of concern that I might not have thought of. There are also a number of things I would have wanted to try previously maybe but didn’t, but with the accountability of a health coach I had an incentive to try them. In all this, I found Angela patient, kind, always available and encouraging. Her approach was always to find what was best for me, with a willingness to experiment. During the program I unexpectedly had to undergo surgery, and I found real value in having a coach during my recovery time, especially one who (unfortunately) has quite some experience with injuries and recovery."
"On the surface level, I can clearly see I have added some new food groups or types to my diet and that is a clear result of this program and the health coach supporting me in this process. But on a bigger scale it’s more a mindset that I think has changed."

"I used to have trouble sticking to a healthy food habit. Each time I failed, I felt everything was ruined and I had trouble getting back on track: the pattern was more or less... 1 month of sense ... 3 to 6 of nonsense. When I found "Instinctively You" I felt strongly that a 6 month's coaching might just be what I needed to find de strength and confidence to handle my eating habits in a more responsible manner. Angela being an intelligent spontaneous dynamic person ánd a balletdancer (I love ballet) added to the appeal. And she did an excellent job, indeed! Under her guidance I became much more aware of all the amazing things I (already) have in my life. Finding more balance in the "work-family-time for myself-setting" suddenly became realistic as we cut down the big goals into smaller steps. She coached me inbetween sessions with great tips and teasing video's or reading material. What started as a journey focused on food, became a real life changing experience. I move and train my body in a more consistent manner, I work in a structured way towards more satisfaction in my work, I take care of myself and I made my needs and goals concerning my relationship and spending habits explicit. I formulated my goals to make change happen and succeeded in realising most of them. The work is never done, but now I feel equiped. Thank you Angela."
